Ushuaia & The End of the Road: WE MADE IT!

Categories South America

The weather was already getting colder by the day in Patagonia, but the forecast for the next days was no rain. So we decided to make a move and get down to Ushuaia in the next three days before the weather turns sour! One day riding over to the East coast to Rio Gallegos was followed by a really long second day: Crossing the border into Chile, taking a ferry to Tierra del Fuego, riding a bit more and a second border crossing into Argentina and some more riding. Darkness fell and we ended up camping in the sand dunes north of Rio Grande. On the third day we slowly approached a mountain range after the endless flats, dropped down to the coast and rolled into Ushuaia! To get to the actual end of the road it took another 130 km of riding along a lovely coastal gravel road. The feeling was indescribable standing at the end of the road overlooking the ocean!

42’000 km – 8 months – and so many adventures, experiences and mind-blowing moments from Anchorage/Alaska to Ushuaia/Patagonia – WHAT A RIDE!

So what’s next?
